As an Access Control Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage badge access, monitor entry points, and help maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, respond to access-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the location by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and entry requirements in accordance with site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, delivery, and access-related records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
