Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Using computer or tablet systems, you will support security-related operations with integrity, reliability, and a people-first approach while collaborating with a caring, innovative team.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue temporary access credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access logs.
• Control access to restricted areas, receive and direct visitors, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, building areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
