As a Screener Security Officer at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will greet employees and visitors, conduct entry screening, verify credentials, and monitor access points to help reduce security-related concerns. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and document observations while supporting a welcoming experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site occupants by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a tech, media, and/or telecom location.
  • Perform entry screening duties such as checking credentials, verifying access authorization, and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Operate screening equipment and conduct package and/or bag inspections as permitted by site policy, documenting findings and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifications to site contacts, and coordination with responding personnel as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports of security-related activities, screening results, and incident response actions, and communicate updates to supervisors and site management.
