About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Screener in New Braunfels, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, where you will greet employees and guests, support entry screening and credential checks, and help manage visitor flow with clear, professional communication. You will stay visible at key access points, conduct routine rounds of assigned areas as needed, and document security-related activity. Requirements

• A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures and access guidelines at a tech and/or media and/or telecom location.
• Screen persons and belongings as required using approved methods and equipment, while maintaining a professional and respectful approach.
• Monitor entry points and verify credentials, visitor logs, and delivery documentation, and direct arrivals to the appropriate check-in process.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site contacts and/or emergency services per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
