Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a secure environment through visible presence and strong communication. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access control points by checking credentials, verifying visitor and/or delivery information, maintaining entry and exit records, and helping to support authorized access to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the warehouse, shipping and receiving areas, trailer yards, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Support truck gate and dock activity by observing incoming and outgoing traffic, documenting security-related concerns, and reporting unusual activity, damaged barriers, and/or policy violations.
