As an Access Control Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor and badge access, and documenting security-related activity. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, screen visitors and drivers, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Control entry and exit of employees, visitors, vendors, and commercial vehicles, reporting unauthorized access attempts or irregularities to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
