As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Emergency Telecommunicator in Sterling, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.18 / Hour

DayTimeSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology and data center location.
• Monitor alarm, access control, and communication systems, assess incoming information, and dispatch personnel to incidents and service requests.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, and shift communications while protecting confidential operational information.
• Coordinate with on-site personnel, management, and emergency responders during incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor regular and random patrol activity around the facility and perimeter, communicate assignments, and document reported concerns.
