As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage distribution location.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, issuing temporary access badges, and following established entry and exit procedures.
  • Observe incoming and outgoing vehicle traffic, coordinate access for deliveries and shipments, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, parking areas, building perimeters, and operational areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
