As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a college campus, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and access-control needs, and assist students, staff, and visitors with professionalism. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control/badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.
Alarm Panel Experience (B202)Experience with alarm panel systems is required. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of alarm system operations, troubleshooting, and response protocols.
Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)Proficiency in using computers or tablets is essential. Candidates should be comfortable navigating software applications, managing emails, and utilizing digital communication tools.
CPR Certification Paid at Company Expense (B205)Candidates must obtain CPR certification, which will be paid for by the company. This certification is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and clients.
Customer Service Experience (B219)A background in customer service is required. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access to assigned areas, assist with visitor direction, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate, timely activity and incident reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
