Requirements

  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have access control or badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, process areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying authorization, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site requirements.
