As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a strong, reassuring presence. You will remain visible throughout your assigned area, conduct routine patrols, and offer outstanding customer service by communicating clearly and assisting visitors or staff as needed. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and customers by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities and observe for any suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and potential security-related issues.
Document and report any incidents or unusual observations according to Allied Universal protocols.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders as required.
Remain alert and aware of surroundings, adapting to changing conditions within the retail environment.
Support loss prevention efforts by being present, visible, and responsive throughout the location.
