As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure atmosphere for customers and staff. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation while acting with integrity and putting people first.

Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, addressing issues as they arise within the retail location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of security-related activities, incidents, and observations during assigned shifts.
Work collaboratively with store staff and other Allied Universal personnel to address security-related concerns and support a welcoming environment for customers and employees.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to evolving situations, utilizing appropriate judgment and communication skills while on patrol.
Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws.
