Requirements

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed posts.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or potential threats.
• Monitor access points and sensitive areas within the location, verifying identification and authorizations as required.
• Report and document any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or breaches according to Allied Universal and client site procedures.
• Participate in emergency response activities as needed, including evacuation assistance and coordination with local law enforcement and/or emergency services.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned location to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
