As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service while patrolling a retail location. This driving and armed post involves regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and responding to situations as they arise. You will engage with the public, assist with security-related matters, and contribute to a welcoming environment, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies at the retail location while providing customer service to clients and visitors.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate emergency response activities as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail store and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences while on duty.
Work collaboratively with store personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and support a positive environment for customers and staff.
Remain alert and aware of surroundings, reporting any suspicious behavior or activities to the appropriate authorities or management.
Adhere to all company and client policies regarding the carrying and handling of firearms, maintaining professionalism and discretion at all times.
