Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and help maintain orderly operations in a healthcare environment.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
