Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, members, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including the interior, exterior, parking areas, and perimeter, while helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions when required, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Support opening and closing procedures, observe high-traffic member service areas, and remain prepared to respond to security-related concerns involving cash-handling locations and other sensitive areas.
