Requirements

  • At least five years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to government transportation facility personnel and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, roadways, testing areas, parking locations, and perimeter boundaries, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles entering restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services.
  • Maintain required licensing and follow all applicable laws, post orders, and Allied Universal policies related to authorized armed duties.
