As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas while maintaining awareness of potential loss prevention concerns, trespassing issues, and/or policy violations.
• Carry authorized armed post equipment in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal guidelines, and report hazards, suspicious activity, and/or security-related concerns promptly.
