Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess a CPO certification.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Possess CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, performers, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a performing arts venue.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of theaters, lobbies, backstage areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, screen authorized personnel and deliveries as assigned, and maintain awareness of guest flow during performances, events, and venue transitions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical calls, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate venue contacts and emergency responders as needed.
  • Carry assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures, and complete accurate incident reports and shift documentation.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
