As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor access activity to help maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, provide professional customer service, and communicate clearly with employees, visitors, and leadership. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
  • Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, vendors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, maintain visitor and vehicle entry records, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, loading docks, parking areas, warehouse spaces, and the perimeter, as assigned. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, damaged property, and potential hazards to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
