Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or students by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control procedures, and reporting of unusual activity or facility conditions.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations in accordance with site procedures.
