Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a residential location, where you will help manage entry points, greet residents and guests, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. You will monitor activity, document security-related concerns, and help to deter incidents while working with a team that values reliability, innovation, integrity, and a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with property guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related matters to property management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location and perimeter, noting unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Support gatehouse and/or community access operations by communicating clearly with residents and authorized personnel, helping to deter unauthorized entry and maintain orderly traffic flow.
