As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication, including during sensitive situations. Requirements

  • Be able to work in a hospital environment where vaccines are present.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards, suspicious behavior, or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management processes, including greeting, directing, and verifying authorized entry in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical-related standbys, and/or alarm activations, and coordinate notifications to site leadership and public responders as needed.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document observations and actions taken, and communicate relevant information to oncoming officers and site representatives.
