As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment at a residential community by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and assisting residents and visitors. You will use computer or tablet systems to support badge and access processes, communicate professionally, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, and maintain visitor and contractor logs in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting relevant details.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, staff, and emergency responders while reporting unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
