Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a government location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorization, and control access to restricted areas in accordance with post orders and location requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Maintain visitor and/or vendor logs, issue temporary passes or badges when appropriate, and document security-related activities, observations, and access-related exceptions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized access and identifying conditions that may require follow-up or emergency response activity.
