As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, screen visitors and vehicles, and keep clear logs while staying visible as a professional presence. You will communicate with site teams, respond to security-related concerns, and support a people-first, integrity-driven culture through teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, managing sign-in logs, and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries to approved areas.
Screen vehicles, packages, and deliveries as required by post orders, completing required documentation and reporting unusual conditions to site leadership.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, access violations, medical calls, and/or spill-related notifications per site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and the perimeter, monitoring for suspicious activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations and documenting findings.
