As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced automotive location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, issue badges, manage entry points, and document activity while staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive location.
  • Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying credentials and/or appointments, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
  • Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow at gates and checkpoints, coordinate with site contacts for authorizations, and report unauthorized access attempts and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and assisting with post-incident reporting.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
