As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor activity using computer or tablet systems. You will perform routine patrols and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents while delivering professional customer service. Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Control access at entry points by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing keys and/or badges, and maintaining accurate access logs and reports.
Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems; report irregular activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns per post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and documentation in line with site requirements.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
