As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will be the first point of contact for employees and visitors, managing access control, verifying credentials, and documenting arrivals, departures, and key activity. You will monitor cameras and alarms, communicate clearly during security-related events, and deliver a helpful customer service experience. Requirements
- Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a front desk in an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location.
- Monitor lobby and entry activity, verify identification and/or authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain sign-in and sign-out logs to help to deter unauthorized access.
- Operate and monitor security-related systems such as phones, radios, CCTV, alarms, and visitor management tools, and document unusual activity per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with site contacts, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Prepare clear, timely reports including daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift turnover notes, and communicate observations and/or concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
