About The Position

As a Security Officer Part Time Access Authorization in High Point, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment for personnel and visitors. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-focused, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Control access to the chemical and petrochemical location by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor documentation in accordance with site requirements.
  • Monitor access points, vehicle entry and exit activity, and security-related systems; maintain accurate logs and report irregularities to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, facilities, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
