About The Position

As a Security Officer - Overnight Warehouse Patrol in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing access, monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and supporting visitor and badge processes. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific access-control procedures and responding to security-related questions or concerns.
  • Monitor and control access at entry points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor and contractor sign-in processes, and maintain accurate access records.
  • Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles, personnel, and deliveries in accordance with logistics and distribution location procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, docks, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
