As a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Patrol Response in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and assist visitors, staff, and community members with professional communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government-operated residential services location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, corridors, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor and incident documentation, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership.
  • Support a respectful and professional environment by communicating clearly with diverse populations and following established de-escalation, reporting, and confidentiality procedures.
