Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a residential community front desk.
  • Greet residents and visitors, verify access authorization, manage visitor logs, and direct guests according to property procedures.
  • Monitor front desk communications, access systems, cameras, alarms, and/or other security-related equipment; report irregularities and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying emergency services and site contacts as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of visitor activity, incident reports, deliveries, keys, packages, and other front desk transactions in accordance with site procedures.
