About The Position

As a Security Officer - Overnight Patrol in Greensboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an education location. You will patrol buildings and grounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with clear communication and professionalism. You will document activity, watch for unusual conditions, and provide a welcoming presence for students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities as appropriate for an educational location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence halls, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to alarms, calls for service, and incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with campus departments and/or local responders when needed.
• Monitor entrances, check credentials and/or visitor authorizations as required, and help maintain orderly access during peak traffic times and special events.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations using written reports and/or electronic reporting systems, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership.
