About The Position

As a Security Officer - Nighttime Foot Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and deliver customer service through clear communication with tenants, visitors, and your team. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of building common areas, tenant spaces as directed, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and document access and key control activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and property damage to the appropriate contacts.
  • Complete detailed written reports and shift logs, including patrol observations, incident details, and follow-up actions, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site management.
