As a Security Officer - Overnight Housing Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will drive through assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. In this people-first role, you will support residents and guests with outstanding customer service, clear communication, and dependable teamwork while bringing integrity, reliability, and innovation to every shift.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to property management and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry points, amenity spaces, and residential grounds to help support authorized access, document activity, and report policy violations and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift notes related to patrol activity, resident interactions, and other security-related matters.
