About The Position

As a Security Officer - Overnight Foot Patrol in Maspeth, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support daily operations through clear communication, detailed reporting, and customer-focused service with drivers, employees, and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to location personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, including checking identification, logging visitors and deliveries, and/or directing drivers to designated staging and dock areas per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and/or supporting emergency responders as directed.
• Complete shift activity logs and incident reports, and communicate observations to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.
