As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy food and beverage production location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, greet employees and visitors with strong customer service, and communicate clearly while documenting observations. Requirements
- Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the food and beverage manufacturing and distribution location, including production areas, warehouses, offices, parking lots, and perimeter points, as assigned.
- Monitor access control points by checking identification, logging visitors and contractors, issuing badges as directed, and directing deliveries and drivers to designated check-in areas.
- Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or client representatives, and help to deter unauthorized activity through high-visibility presence.
