As a Security Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, help to deter incidents, and support access control and badge activities. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors at utility operations locations while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Monitor for unusual activity, unauthorized access, equipment concerns, and potential hazards, and promptly report observations according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response activities and escalation protocols.
Document patrol activities, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns in required reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
