As a Security Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, help to deter incidents, and support access control and badge activities. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors at utility operations locations while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor for unusual activity, unauthorized access, equipment concerns, and potential hazards, and promptly report observations according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response activities and escalation protocols.
  • Document patrol activities, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns in required reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
