About The Position

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare research location.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating to appropriate site contacts and emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, exterior, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and follow site procedures for admitting, directing, and documenting guests and deliveries.
Complete accurate reports and shift documentation for incidents, patrol observations, access-related activities, and unusual conditions.
