Conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, observe and report concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, property management personnel, and vendors while following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and property perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, property damage, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Document patrol findings and incidents through clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to property management and Allied Universal leadership.
