Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, artists, vendors, and guests by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a cultural institution.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, exhibition areas, public spaces, offices, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
- Monitor visitor activity and support orderly entry, queuing, and movement through exhibition spaces while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
- Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site representatives.
