Job Description As a Security Officer - Welcome Center Driver in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a financial institution location, you will welcome visitors, manage access and badges, monitor alarms and cameras, and handle security-related calls with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • 4+ Year Military or Law Enforcement Experience or Criminal Justice Degree.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors at the front desk by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and access requirements for a financial services location.
  • Monitor lobby activity and entry points from a stationary post, verifying identification and managing sign-in processes to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Answer phones and route calls, provide directions and general assistance, and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating site emergency response notifications when appropriate.
  • Complete security-related logs, reports, and visitor records accurately, and communicate shift activity and/or outstanding issues during post handoff.
