Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking lots, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and delivery traffic, verify credentials when required, and communicate with site contacts regarding security-related matters.
• Support daily location operations by documenting incidents, observing trailer and vehicle movement, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or access issues that could affect site operations.
