In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication to visitors and staff. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, public areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity to help to support authorized entry procedures, provide directions, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations.
• Complete routine reports and communicate notable observations, maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or incident information to supervisors and appropriate site representatives.
