You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while providing standout customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, check identification and/or credentials as directed, and document access activity per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site representatives and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Complete security-related reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and maintenance or hazard notifications, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnover.
