Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at an education location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will support students, staff, and visitors with strong customer service, clear communication, and a caring, reliable approach that reflects teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and activity across the location, assisting with entry procedures, visitor interactions, and policy compliance in accordance with site expectations.
  • Support a secure learning environment by communicating clearly with campus stakeholders, providing directions and assistance, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and other property-related concerns that may affect daily operations.
