Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A current guard card/license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or medical facility concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor and staff traffic flow, helping to support a professional environment and clear communication during routine and elevated situations.
  • Document observations, incidents, and/or policy-related concerns, and communicate with site contacts, local responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
