As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will perform routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support shoppers, tenants, and staff with helpful customer service. You will document observations and communicate clearly with your team, using technology as needed. With Allied Universal, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first mindset to every shift. Valid driver’s license required.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, storefront corridors, loading areas, and parking lots to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or operational concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, lost and found matters, and/or requests for assistance.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems as assigned, assist with after-hours lockup and/or opening procedures, and coordinate with mall management and local responders when needed.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.
