As an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supporting mobile patrol coverage and quick response to calls for service. You will deliver professional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders at a government health services location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, identify maintenance or hazard concerns, and report issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and restricted areas; verify identification and/or authorization when required; assist with visitor direction and basic access control functions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request additional support from site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in daily logs and reports; communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
